Characters

How do I use characters that I've created before in another game? Also, how can I transfer wealth from one character to another? Thanks!

Without permission from the GM running the current game, you cannot do either. Most people would like you to run a single (or rotating group, in some cases) of characters specifically for their games. I personally would refuse to let you play a character that had extra traits and/or gear from another table. The same with transporting gold from that table to mine. Other GM's might have different opinions, but that's my rule.

That said, you could easily make the same character, name, description, etc. from one table to the next (even mine) so long as it was at the correct starting level for said table. Gold and XP, however, are locked to only be available to increase through GM action, for which I believe you need to be in the table for it to happen. (SO DON'T LEAVE THE TABLE EARLY UNTIL YOUR GM UPDATES THESE STATS FOR YOU!) That said, if you happened to run two characters in MY table, and they were both within proximity to one another AND on friendly terms, I would have no problem alternating the gold amounts to show that one has lent gold to the other.

I hope this has answered your basic questions, and I invite other Gms to weigh in on the hypothetical positions presented in this thread.

There's no way to transfer characters, but as drmonster mentioned, you can always just create a new character with the same traits. Gms have control over wealth, so there's no way for players to transfer it.
