Option To Transer Miniatures Between Scenes?

Dear Administration,

First off, I'd just like to say that the more games I run on Fabletop the more I love it. The miniatures are awesome, the notes are purely epic, the scenes are sweet, the interface is the best around, chat and dice commands are awesome, and the simplicity is totally sweet. By far the best online virtual tabletop I've seen and I've seen a number.

While I and a few of my players still miss the option for d20 (most games use the assorted full range), I was also just wondering if it would be possible to tag miniatures so they migrate between scenes? After that, you'd have to manually un-tag them or click remove to get rid of them.

The reason I ask is that I usually have one or more NPCs who come along with the group, or a villain the players are hunting across scenes. Every new scene I always do a mad dash of re-creating all the NPC's, villains, monsters, etc. that are following/chasing/being chased by the group. It still works way better than any other site, but I think this small feature would be pretty awesome.

In the last game I ran we were actually using private messages through another site to roll d20's and d6's until we had other players join and switched back to the classic Fabletop system (which I really enjoy. I still think you should keep that as the primary means of rolling). Even just having an 'optional' full dice set tweak for particular GM's tables would be pretty cool. Fabletop is already pretty freaking awesome and adding in the ability to play uber popular games like D&D and Pathfinder would probably only build the audience (if make for complications in integrating new players. Like I said, switched back to classic Fabletop in that case which is simpler and makes more sense for the application).

I appreciate your design decisions now I've run a few more games. All the 'quick' features, dice rolls, and scene set up make perfect sense for the kind of game which runs most effectively on here. Well done.

Persisting miniatures between scenes is something that I have looked into, and still want to do when I can figure out a clean way of adding it.

Regarding more dice: The current system is so central to the usability of the rest of the system, that I really have no plans to open that up, even as an advanced option. I know that there are a lot of neat systems out there, but few of them actually translate well to chat-based play.

I respect your decision about the dice, and I agree that most systems don't translate well. After all, it's your site. I'd still love to see them, but ah well. It's just one of those things every new player always asks me. "Where are the d20's?" "Where are the d6's?" That's along with 'what does wealth/xp mean, but usually I just make something up for that or explain existing conventions.

New Thing: Yesterday all my players could see two kobolds and a chest even though I'd removed them/switched scenes and couldn't see them. Caused a bit of confusion. Not sure what the glitch was exactly, but I cleared my browser history and that seemed to fix things. I think it was something to do with loading a saved scene and then switching the scene with miniatures still on it. Switched for me, but not for any of the players. Just thought I'd let you know. ;)

Please, please, please add a d20 set just for my account? It can be completely crappy with just text or whatever. :P Can I pay you to add it over PayPal? Not sure how much work it is, and I can't afford 'tons' but it's something that would be really sweet to have. I could make everyone jealous I have epic dice on the best VT out there.
