Revenant (White Phantom)
Divine magic summons these phantoms to tread again where they have walked before. These divine guardians assist and protect their allies. Phantom type: Assist. Life and Power: Revenants begin on 50% of their maximum life and power (rounded up) Summoning conditions: Revenants can only be summoned to areas they have already cleared. Revenants can join once the session is in duration, but loose 1 life and 1 power per scene already cleared, to a minimum of 2 life and 1 power. Mechanics: Revenants are automatically called to assist by an unknown divine force. They are automatically matched with a player who is physically present. They are vanquished if this player is killed and can share loot with this player if either player rolls a moon on their loot roll (see the main forum). Revenants can still loot, gain xp and gain or loose magic points, but cannot make quest progression.
Vassal (Black Phantom)
The way of the world has always been thus; Those with more power are served by those with less. Through an unknown magic, skilled adventurers may pull less skilled ones into their own plane. Phantom Type: Assist Life and Power: Vassals begin with full life and power. Summoning: Vassals can only be summoned to areas they have not already cleared. If a player's Vassal is destroyed, they may pay 2 power points to summon a different player as a Vassal. Mechanics: Physically present players may choose to summon a Vassal to assist them. They get to choose who they wish to summon. Choices are first come, first served. Vassals are vanquished if the player who summons them is killed. They can share loot with their summoner if either player rolls a moon on their loot roll (see main forum). Vassals can still loot, gain xp and gain or loose magic points, but cannot make quest progression.
Enforcer (Purple Phantom)
Zenus demands justice. Those who have committed heinous crimes shall be marked on his list; seek out these vagrants, and make them pay the price. Phantom Type: Invader Life and Power: Enforcers begin with full life and power. Summoning: Enforcers can only invade the worlds of player on the list at the bottom of this forum. Up to 2 Enforcers invade the world(s) of all physically present players who are on the list. Mechanics: When a target is invaded by an Enforcer, they regain 50% of their maximum life and power. Enforcers cannot harm, or be harmed by, players who are not targets of their invasion. Once an enforcer invades, the fight is to the death. If the Enforcers win, they gain 1 magic point in law per 10xp their target had, they may also take payment for the player's crime by taking 1 item from their character sheet and moving it to their own character sheet, once a guilty player has been bought to justice, they are removed from the list. If the players win, they gain 1xp each per invader and continue the session with their current life and power values. Divine Avenger (Red Phantom)
The gods have been using mortals to settle their disagreements since the dawn of time. If you get on the wrong side of a god, you can expect their followers to avenge them. Phantom Type: Invader Life and Power: Divine Avengers begin with full life, and 1 power point per negative ten magic points their target has (see summoning below) Summoning: To invader as a divine avenger you must have at least 25 points in a magical element. If another player has -10 or less in this element, they may be chosen. Mechanics: When a target is invaded by a divine avenger, they regain 50% of their maximum life and power. This invasion is strictly a 1 on 1 fight and no players can intervene. Once a divine Avenger invades, it is a fight to the death! If the divine avenger wins they gain 1 magic point from the god they are avenging per 5 negative points that player has. If the player has already been visited by an NPC divine avenger, they may have a divine item from that invader, a victorious divine avenger may take this item for their own. If the player wins, they gain 1xp and may take 1 item of choice from the avenger's character sheet. They then continue the session with their current life and power values. Players who are not physically present at the encampment the game begins at can use the phantom system to assist their allies.
Under certain conditions, the phantom system can also be used to invade another player and initiate a player vs player combat encounter.
