Oleander

You look up at the sky from your shadowed place and see a bloom blow by, the bloom a red vibrance against the grey storm in the distance. Your hand reaches out and grabs the flower, turning it to dust. Oh, how you longed to be that pretty, but now are such a pitiful thing.

This is an RP set in the fictional city of Haraldson in the year 2018. You play as a being of the shadows, a La'caeri, who preys on the weak and wicked, drinking their memories and then their life, absorbing their experiences and burning them up like coal in a locomotive engine.

A few extra bits of info! La'caeri live in communities based on region and population. A city would have several communities, while a barren area would have a few. La'caeri also exist with two appearances: their shell and their body. Their shell is thw human appearance, their body is, as you guessed it, their body. Their bodies are grotesque, black and usually covered in a thick slime, especially after being in their shells for any period of time. Their other features vary. Some have multiple arms, while others have only two; head shapes vary; toes, fingers, etc. vary.

Age: 24

Physical Appearance: A seven foot tall humanoid shape with inky black skin. Unnaturally large, ovaloid head with eight unblinking eyes of varying sizes scattered around at uneven intervals. Ear holes (but no actual ears) on the sides of their head. Four long, spindly arms with disproportionally large hands and three fingers each. When I say long arms, I mean their knuckles can nearly brush the ground long. A hunched back, visible spine kind of poking out, abysmal posture. Bowlegged with two legs that bisect at the knee. Three lengthy toes on each foot (of which there are four).

Shell: Appears to be a 70 year old woman, about five feet tall with wrinkled skin and a cloud of wispy white hair. Has thin rimmed glasses on a string around her neck. Thin, pursed lips. Just think of the generic little old lady.
