The date is February 21st, 2019. Nearly a year ago, magik had returned to it's ancestral home known as Gaia, or Earth to us, the Unlearned. This magic operated on a sacrificial basis it seemed, where it caused specially designed tokens, sentimental objects, or parts of yourself to disappear forever, causing rapid aging, amnesia, and the loss of body parts. In November 2018, the Domestic Occult Control, Magik Investigation Agency, and the Offensive Occult Bureau were founded here in the United States to regulate, control, and utilize the occult. And thus, magik was now illegal for anyone not a government official. Those who had the right to practice became known as the Learned, officially; and the Third Eyers, unofficially. The rest are the Unlearned or Blind, at least blind is what they're supposed to be.

Now, however; you're simply a citizen of the state, a normal "Joe". But, you are desperate, unsatisfied with your current situation. So, today, 2/21/19, you have been coerced into committing a horrible atrocity... One which you cannot remember.

Jason Buckingham
A young man from London, raised by a strange couple, a highly traditional father and an unorthodox and hippie mother.
Being born in such enviroment, since early age he was dipped in philosophical and political debate, and brought to a more academic side of life, growing into a highly intelectual while not very athletic ambitious young man. The reason of his desperation is quite a tragic one, one day a few years ago he met a young woman called Agatha, just like him she was very intelligent and had an interest for the academics, something which drew themselves together. After a few months of chatting and friendly meetings they began to date, and two years laters, married.
Jason couldn't be happier, he had a fine job as a librarian, a loving wife and an incoming daughter, but all that happiness was crushed a year ago, after his wife died in a car crash, the baby dying alongside her. Because of their tragic deaths Jason fell into deep depression, and because of the habits he developed because of his depression, was fired. He became desperate, considering killing himself, but upon hearing of the Magik, he tried to bring his wife and child back, performing the dark task he did.
He is of average height and skinny build, his skin is pale and his hair aswell, his eyes having long eyelashes and blue eyes.

Sasha Wendel

About 5'4" and rather thin, with sharp features and a narrow face. One of her ex-boyfriends once described her nose as "vulture-like". She has brown hair that about goes down to the middle of her back, and dark green eyes.
Sasha was born in a small mountain town in the middle of Colorado, to her rather normal parents. Her family wasn't particularly wealthy, but they certainly weren't impoverished either. She and her younger sister, Rose, grew up as any average children. After high school, Sasha went to a trade school to become a sound engineer. Her sister became a chemist. Afterwards, they reconnected in New York City, and lived together as roommates. Sasha did fairly well, doing sound mixing for some theaters around town. Rose was going through with some dangerous experiments, which Sasha often admonished her for, being concerned, but that didn't stop her from continuing with the experiments. Then, tragedy struck. Late one night, working at her lab, one of Rose's experiments went horribly wrong. Acids mangled her hands and made them useless, burning through almost everything. From the trauma of that event, and some of the fumes, Rose's mind was addled. Sasha, seeing her brilliant younger sister unable to do what she used to be able to, was devastated. She turned to Magik as a solution, trying to enhance the physical and mental capacity of her beloved sister.

For someone that's grown up in the center of Boston's Irish Mob, you'd think Matthew "Sully" Sullivan would be a bad person - well, you'd be right. Sully's done some terrible things working for his uncles, the O' Leary's, and had lately found himself to be their go-to hitman. When word got out that there was a witness to Liam O' Leary's execution of an Italian Mob boss, O' Leary sent Sully to tie up this particular loose end. The witness had been relocated - supposedly out of reach of the O' Leary's - to Montana. When Sully came face-to-face with the previously unidentified witness, however, he couldn't bring himself do it. The witness' name was Julietta "Jules" Giaconi - the daughter of the murdered Don Giaconi, and also happened to be Sully's ex-girlfriend. Sully and Jules spent a couple of days coming up with a plan to escape their gangster families, but when Liam O' Leary unexpectedly showed up searching for Jules, all he found was his nephew. Sully couldn't reason with his uncle, nor could he kill his own family, so he gambled. Sully's last resort was magik, and his desperate attempt to erase Julietta Giaconi from the memory of the Irish Mob actually worked - but at a cost. Sully's sacrifice turned out to be that he too would forget Jules' existence, and now he can't seem to explain the loss he's feeling as he sits in prison - waiting to be interrogated.
