Era of the Dragons

(name may be Era of the dragons, Dragon Era, Dawn of Dragons, or Dragon Dawn)
Work in Progress

The Era of the Gods has ended.

The realm lies torn and broken.

The God Wars saw to it that the mortals destroyed one another under their divine masters orders. Civilizations razed to the ground and mortal races driven to exile or completely annihilated. The great wild forests of the elves is nothing but a burned husk that even now the greedy humans claim and exploit. the smattering of human nations fight among each other and against the hordes of monsters no longer under the leash of their own gods. The dwarven folk in their deep cities armed with powerful armor and weapons slowly die as plague and famine threaten their existence. Most are not even as fortunate as the humans to have such numbers left where they can continue useless battles, nor the strength of the dwarves to hold off armies for decades.

The gods themselves are nowhere to be found, having retreated to their own divine realms to lick their wounds, rebuild their divine armies and plot their rise to dominance. Their mortal worshipers find that their once bountiful gifts are now greatly reduced to small boons granted to those who directly serve them, if they give them at all. With a much lower divine oversight, mortals have begun taking more things into their own hands for better or for worse.

However there is something new, word of a great power stirring at the end of the God War and shortly after the final day of the war, several meteors blazing with power and might came crashing down during the middle of the night turning the world brighter than day. Even now various people seek out where these meteors land in order to claim their bounty.

But none of that matters to you. You are a new born [b]dragon[/d], born from from power itself. You and your siblings are the first dragons, ageless and powerful. But that matters little right now, because right now you are very hungry.
