For the right money, they would go and gather, hunt and capture for everyday people, while also climbing the chain of the monster hunter world, known as Hunter Ranks, making use of every kill to make more weapons and armour so they can hunt tougher monsters so they can make better equipment, and the cycle goes on.
As time passed, it would be easy to see who would be the advanced races. Humans were always prominent, with their brave spirits and powerful bodies, but alongside them were their trusty companions the Lynians. For a long time, it was just felynes, the loyal and agile cat humanoids who easily fit in to society. Then came their more wild cousins the melynx, who used cunning and thieving to their advantage. After a very long time, even the shakalaka tribes managed to slip into certain parts of civilisation after two certain members began partnership in Moga Village, but they still remain faithful to their kings and NEVER take off their masks unless changing mask. Nobody but themselves know what they really look like, but they're short and tribal so their knowledge of the elements and crafting is helpful.
The more human races are spread out. First, from the fiery volcano where they forge their lives are the Troverians, short stout warriors with amazing strength and a fire as hot as their home burning in their souls. Then appeared the Wyverians, the most mysterious race. General belief is that they're descended from reptiles as they have claws, similar leg bone structures, pointed ears and wisdom that bests everyone else's by miles, only being added to by long lifespans. The most recently discovered race would be the hastily named Sea People, who have lived apart from the rest of the world for millennia, floating on a wooden platform village bobbing on the ocean named "Moga Village" which rests close to a small island. They evolved with the water, growing webbed hands and feet, translucent skin of different colours and swimming specialisations.
One day, some training hunters from all these races were travelling on a boat to where they would start training. And thus, the story begins.
