Soul Armor - Knights

pyrak Apr '16  /  edited Apr '16
"Knights, mighty mechas capable of shrugging off a lot of damage and wielding powerful melee weapons. They are relentless warriors, and the front line defenders of humanity."

Knights may have 2 Traits for their base weapons and or a shield. Weapons can be any melee weapon, even bare fists. Melee weapons have a Range of 1 no matter their size (this may change later). Shields give bonuses to blocking, and you may have some other effect as well such as scrambling guided missiles, causing ricochet when hit or shielding against AoE. Also you may have both the weapon traits go into one weapon, equating to a two handed weapon allowing for a more powerful attack, and the second trait may have a very powerful effect.

Shield+Weapon: Give a little more protection
2 Weapons: Gives two attacks, each with their own normal level effects.
Heavy Weapon: one stronger attack with a normal effect and powerful effect and also increased penetration power (bonus to penetration is equal to the second trait's # which can't be greater than the 1st trait's #).

They may also have one trait which assists Might based Movement (1+Might+Trait). Beyond that it's currently very free form, and traits should be providing armor, giving some sort of utility skill or simply countering Wizard weapons (for example, countering movement inhibitors).

- Might/Knight example Bonus Traits:
Red Hot Sword: 1 - Melee attack & negates 1 block star
Flaming Sword: 2 - Melee attack, negates 2 block stars, & inflicts Burn = to half the damage dealt.
Inferno Sword: 3 - Melee attack, negates 4 block stars,, and inflicts Burn damage dealt.

Shiny Shield: 1 - Blocking & counter enemy AoEs.
Silver Shield: 2 - Blocking, counter enemy AoEs & chance to redirect enemy missiles*
Mirror Shield: 3 - Blocking, counter enemy AoEs & chance to redirect enemy missiles*

(In Notes)
*Silver Shield, whenever targeted by a missile there's a 1/3 chance of having it aim for a different target (or none at all) instead.

*Mirror Shield, whenever targeted by a missile there's a 2/3 chance of having it aim for a different target (or none at all) instead.
