Heroes & Villains

(I still have a couple of mechanics to work on, namely making minions, wealth and fame system(s), popularity and stuff like that)

You are above the average human, capable of decimating armies and changing empires. However you are not unique in that way, several other individuals just like you exist, and some are friends and some are not. Naturally some will take advantage of their power to rule the world, while others will use their own to defend the defenseless. So where will you stand, a victor, savior, or a destroyer? Or will you be buried in the history books as one more foolish advisory to the ones who hold true power.

This is a game where you play on a world map as a superhuman who's either playing the villain or hero roll (or something else in between?). Your objective is to suppress or even kill your advisories, gain wealth, and control or gain approval of the public.

Character Creation
You start with 7 Main Trait points and 10 total Life and Power points (LP+PP=10), and 2 bonus trait points.
Bonus Traits should more or less be one thing per trait, but they can be ability like and should be fairly descriptive (example: Laser Beams: 1 - (Combat) Laserboy can fire laser beams from his body.). Depending on situations, I might give better results to people based on their abilities and the situation.

Additional things on Bonus Traits, you can't have any healing BTs, Defense BTs are rolled alone after damage is allocated to you, and PP recovery BT are rolled alone and the stars are added to the basic PP recovery action when you use it.

Your description should describe the person as their cape ego, what they wear and what their abilities and talents are, and what their moral standards are (if they have any, if you wish to keep some of their morals secret, do so). You also need to message me ( fabletop.com/messages/compose?to=pyrak ) their civilian information and any secret matters I should know.

Life, Combat and Death
You can not recover lost life, the exception is that every 4 rounds everything (players, cities and NPC's) will recover 1 Life.

When engaging in combat, you must be in the same relative location as your target and you can't attack an Undercover target. Both attacker and target roll their Might + Combat traits at the same time and deal damage equal to the stars they get at the same time (so yes you can kill each other at the same time). If you have allies with you (City Defense Forces, Minions and or NPCs), they may also attack along side you. Damage dealt can be spread out amongst the local (same city) enemies in whatever way you wish.

Death, it happens and probably will happen, when you die you're dead and that's it. You may make a new character (maybe a revenge bent relative?) and go back to super hero/villaining.

Minions and NPC's
As far as non-player character allies, there are two types. Minions which are your masses of mooks, and NPCs which are lesser superhumans who will work for and with a PC to their advantage. Minions are easier to get, you can get them through rolling Wisdom+Relevant trait(s) (ex: Robotist: 1 - Building robots) and paying for them with Wealth. NPCs on the other hand take a certain level of reputation as either a good guy or a bad guy before an NPC might decide to join you (some Villains may cost Wealth to keep them on board).

When you start to Recruit Minions, you need to pick what their attack dice are, 2 or 3. After that, for every 3 stars rolled in a Recruit action 2 atk Minions life increases by 1 and for every 5 stars rolled in a Recruit action 3 atk Minions life increases by 1.

Experience and Leveling
xp is gained at a rate of 2 xp per round, and major feats will gain you extra xp (such as defeating a major enemy or taking over a city).

Every 10 xp you get +1 to Life or Power points. (end total is 20)
Every 25 xp you get +1 to Bonus Trait points. (end total is 6)
Every 50 xp you get a passive ability of GM's making. (end total is 2)
Maxes out at 100 xp.
