You are one of the few who possess Power, the Gift of the Stars. You have the ability to reshape destiny, and conjure up force beyond the limits of the mortal form. Along with this extraordinary gift, comes a responsibility to the realm, for there are things beyond it that scratch and tear at its borders so they may invade it, infest it and devour it. Because of the Gift of the Stars, you are able to sense things that come from beyond the borders of the realm and you are able to sense others who also possess Power.
However, the actions of those with the gift are not dictated and they are free to chose to do as they see fit with their power. Many will simply use it to live out their lives with a little more oomph to their actions, others may take advantage of their overwhelming strength and seek to rule over mortals around them, while others may play the hero or mercenary, hunting down things that threaten life and liberty for the sake of righteousness or money.
Game Mechanics The Gift of the Stars is literally power points. Also anyone who has Power can instantly tell when another person they meet also has Power (they can also detect things that come from other dimensions such as demons and eldritch things). Currently just going to follow the core rules on power, with the exception that healing 2 life per star but just one.
Magic exists in this world, and is fairly commonplace, but extremely low power in most cases (little better than non-combat cantrips in D&D). Additionally, in most cases, using magic supplements what's already there. Ranged magic is based off of Agility, melee range magic is Might based.

Dragons exist, but they are not malevolent, but rather stand as the realm's primary defenders in the sense that they are giant flying lizards that can shoot beams of raw celestial Power from their maws amongst other things.
