When rolling for any profession; to make or collect items, moons double the outcome while skulls reduce the total haul by 1 respectively.
Ex. When mining I roll a moon and 4 stars, I now collect 8 ore.
Ex. When mining I roll a skull and 4 stars, I now collect 3 ore.
Ex. When smiting I roll a moon and 4 stars, my armor gets +16 durability.

When smithing you will always successfully create two bars from one ore. You roll to see how durable your item is. Below you see the base durability for all items of a certain metal type. When you smelt an item, for each star you roll you will add +2 durability to the item for weapons and +2 durability for armor +1/2 the result. You will roll straight might unless you have taken smithing as a bonus trait.
Ex. I roll to create bronze armor, I get 3 stars, my armor gets +9 durability.
