The Rise Of Empires - Armies And Population

nightcraw240 Oct '15  /  edited Oct '15
At the end of the year you must pay the total amount of food for your total population and army. If you can not, your army AND population are reduced by half. (Ex. I have a population of 2000 people and an army of 3000, I have to pay 5000 food total at the end of the year.)

Attacking another city/village :

a. You may declare war on another city/village. If you manage to capture the city and choose to destroy it you may take 100% of the resources.
b. You may suddenly attack without warning; you lose 50% of the resources this way.
An army cannot be within five blocks from another city if it wishes to declare war on that particular city. If an army IS within five squares of a city and they do declare war, it will be treated as a raid.

Defending a city :
1. As long as your army marker is within your city you may defend with them. You may choose to defend or attack back.
2. If you defend your walls will take damage before your troops do.
3. If you attack, both armies will be open to attack; however, the opposing army may not attack your city while engaged with your army.

When an army attacks a city/village with an army defending it, they must roll higher than the defender to deal damage to the city/village itself.
