"The Chantry teaches that it is the hubris of men that brought the darkspawn into existence. The mage rulers of the Tevinter Imperium sought to usurp the Golden City – the afterlife created by the Maker for mortals – but were cast out, twisted with corruption, and returned as monsters – the first darkspawn. In their depravity they sought the Old Gods, and, finding Dumat slumbering deep within the earth, began the Blight."
Story
The year is 9:30 Dragon.
A new blight has begun. The darkspawn, led by a new Archdemon have risen out of their holes and attacked Ferelden.
The Grey Wardens and the army united under King Cailan are the only thing that is able to defeat the blight.
Through some way or another, you have been recruited into the ranks of the Grey Wardens and are preparing yourself to fight against the darkspawn. You have yet to go through the Grey Warden's joining and have just arrived at Ostagar.
Rules and Other Things
1. The setting of this table is in the Dragon Age Universe. Only knowledge of the first game is really needed, but is not essential. The story of this game will basically be the first game with some twists of my own.
2. Playstyle is serious.
3. Don't be afraid to ask questions, the GM is happy to help.
4. If you're not well versed in the Dragon Age Universe, I recommend keeping the Dragon Age Wiki link open in a new tab and just searching up new things that come up.
dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Age_Wiki
5. Don't let the spells and abilities in the game restrict your character. Make your own spells and abilities, but make sure it's not too overpowered.
6. Custom Traits are allowed, ask the GM if your trait is too overpowered or not.
7. GM has the final word. Do not fight the GM.
8. Try and keep OOC at a minimum, as it reduces immersion and distracts people.
