----- Mage Cabals -----
Groups of mages who band together as a commercial and academic group. Often, each cabal would have a specific group of customers, and as such the magics practiced by one cabal complement each other. This also facilitates research and academic exchange between members. Cabal sizes, at the peak of the magic trade, could range from a small gathering of a handful of members, to wide-reaching conglomerates with shared facilities and compounds, branches in different cities, and sub-divisions for different services. Though now, few cabals exist, and those that do are very small groups, to avoid detection by the Congregation.
----- The Congregation of Divine Judgement -----
An international group established by the Pope Dominic XIII, their mission is to hunt rogue mages. Utilising a specialised training regime, and pure fanaticism, they roam the various cities of Europe, tracking down Apostates and bringing them to the Circles.
----- The Knights Templar -----
Once crusaders attempting to spread the influence of Christianity to the Holy Lands of Jerusalem, they had been called back by an edict from the Pope. Now, they serve as the ruthless wardens of the various Circles. As former warfighters, they are extremely well-trained in the arts of war. Their belief in the divine is second to none, and at times, they may perform acts of faith in aid of their duties.
