"He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster.
And if thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee."
Story
The year is 2015.
Monsters are real.
Monsters you read about as a kid. Monsters you were told about so you would follow your curfew. All real.
You remember clearly. When you were a child, the world governments came out and revealed that monsters were real. They revealed the Supernatural Task Force, welcoming all those who want to help with the threat of monsters. Soon after their reveal, other organizations revealed themselves. Soon after monster attacks became commonplace. What was once classified as mysterious was now explained.
You've applied for the STF, hoping to join their ranks as a new recruit.
This is your story.
Rules
1. Playstyle is serious.
2. Don't be afraid to ask questions, the GM is happy to help.
3. If you're using a monster and want to know their abilities in this world, please ask.
4. Magic is allowed, just nothing too strong or something one would classify as 'evil.' If you're having trouble seeing if it works, just ask the GM.
6. Custom Traits are allowed, ask the GM if your trait is too overpowered or not.
7. GM has the final word. Do not fight the GM.
8. Try and keep OOC at a minimum, as it reduces immersion and distracts people.
9. No min-maxing as it ruins the fun for other players.
