The guardians of the colony

So youre a giant mech on a mars-like planet. Yay.

CC:

you start with a total of 10 points of stat

might is your overall strenght and melee combat strength
agility is your ranged combat strength
wisdom is the strenght of your scanners and it is also used for special tasks such as repairing

you start with 1 tile/turn

extra trait choices:
chassis:
/ +1 melee and armour dice /
/ +2 tile/turn and +1 ranged dice /
/ +1 wisdom dice and +2 tile/turn /

equippment:
/ +1 attack and armour dice /
/ +1 wisdom dice and +1 scanner dice /
/ +2 total power and +1 melee/ranged (choice) dice /
/ +1 attack dice and +1 tile/turn along with +1 scanner dice /

energy source:
/ +1 tile/turn and +2 power /
/ +1 power and + 1 wisdom dice /
/ -2 total stat and -1 base trait, but regenerates one power each turn /
/ -1 total stat, starts with half power (rounded down), one less base trait, but regenerates one life each turn /

armour type:
/ +1 tile/turn and +1 armour dice /
/ +2 armour dice /
/ +1 strength along with melee in it and +1 armour/
/ regenerates a life each turn, -1 base trait, -2 base stat /
/ +1 power, +1 tile/turn and +1 armour dice /
/ +1 armour dice against explosive-based attacks (mech-based basically) and +1 armour dice with +1 life /
/ +1 armour dice against corrode-based attacks (for an example the Lycher) and +1 armour dice with +1 life /
/ +1 armour dice against corrode-based attacks and +2 tile/turn /

those traits such as wisdom melee or ranged count as bonus traits which you can customize as long as they give what they say

Skills:
you can have a basic weapon (melee or ranged) that does NOT use PP
you can have a basic weapon that DOES use 1 PP
you can have a basic weapon that DOES use 2 PP
you can have two basic tools that may use PP, such as repair

you can alter that PP does effect instead of damage

when the enemy is in adjacent tiles, you cant use ranged weapons, you cant shoot after fleeing from enemies who were on adjacent tiles

Example notes:

Main weapon: flamethrower - melee
Secondary weapon: coolant beam - ranged - does freezing instead of an extra star
Ultimate weapon: rocket barrage - ranged
Utility: repair drones - repair nearby units
Utility: jetpack system - boosts the robot forward for a PP

(wisdom roll + star from PP= extra tiles moved, each turn a movement roll can be done with correct utilities, which boost that turn's moved tiles by the star amount)

permadeath is on
you can be piloting from the colony if youre in fear, this way you get half the xp, and if you die you lose 20 xp (so no permadeath for ya)

If there will be battles or anything out of mech, rolls decide how lethal the shot is, 9 star rolled for every star that hits, 0-2 star means survived, 3 star minor injuries (-1 dice for rolls requiring might or agility), 4 star for medium injuries (-1 star for rolls requiring might and agility) 5 star for major injuries (cannot do any might or agility rolls, becomes unable to move) 6 or more stars for lethal... also getting 2 minor counts as a medium, and a medium and a minor counts as major, two medium or a major and a medium is lethal... a major and a medium is NOT lethal, thankfully for you

Politicial status: there are currently three main colonies, the mining, the construction, and the supply colony. The mining colony quited from the alliance a bit after the attack, they didnt wanted to follow what the main leaders said, so they rioted and made their own base.
There are also pirates

STORY:

After the bad event on Earth, humanity sent out 3 colonizer ships capable of creating a self-sustaining civilization. They were sent to 3 different planets. After 300 years of flights, one of them ended up in huge riots and fights, and later the ship's energy core exploded... The other two managed to land, but one of them got destroyed from a super-volcano. So only one remained.

On year 6370, 130 years after landing, the colony fronted a bad event: it seems the planet isnt only habited by humans... Life detectors went bleeping, and one of the mining subcolonies were totally destroyed. The reports that were sent before the comms went of stated that they are swift, vary in species, and extremely efficient against both human and metal.

Then humans decided something must be done... Obviously. They swiftly created strong weaponry and fought the creatures. It didn't work too well... At least the humans managed to defend themselves, for a while. After researching and studying the behaviour of the creatures, it seemed the best tactic is to use large sized, highly armored, and strong vehicles that excel in longer tiring battles that basic human resources cannot support.

And that's how the plan of the mechs was designed. The first mech created easily destroyed the armies of the unknown. Until one day larger creatures rised, it seemed the creatures were adapting to the steps of the humans, the new giant creatures smashed the first mech into pieces. Thankfully there was still hope: plans were made for more resource-efficient, smaller, still large enough mechs that are now not only deadly and armored, but also fast and swift, so they could kill those larger creatures. And that's where YOU come in place, ladies and gentlemen.

Those creatures... We know how big they are, how strong they are, how they fight, but we dont know how they look like... We didnt had a chance to see them without dying...
