You are a member of one of the numerous guilds that the Kingdom of Hoffbrand hired to supplement their army in the war against the Widmaier Empire.
The initial seige and breech against the city of Zeidel went according to plan. Your squad fought your way in, heading for the citadel. Then all went to hell as the wooden buildings were set alight by the desperate defenders. The assault quickly turned into an all out, chaotic retreat, as allies and enemies alike sought to leave the burning deathtrap of a city...

Magic shields are a go.

10 XP per FULL session (partial sessions up to GM discretion)
FT rules:
"At the end of your 1st session, you can add (Edit Character):
1 Life or 1 Power
For every 20 XP, you can add one of the following:
1 Power, 1 Life, or 1 Bonus Trait die
After 100 XP, your character tops out and no longer receives upgrades."
