You MUST pick a class from the available classes. At the moment I am still coming out with new classes. You can always transfer xp and items to a newly introduced class, but never back.
You get two bonus traits. Pick three traits from here; fabletop.com/forum/topic/4358.1/tett-passive-abili... Make them into a single bonus trait.
Next, pick one more trait from the list and make it a trait of its own.
At this point you should have two traits, one with three skills in it and one with only one.
The trait with three skills is capped at the FT +3 dice.
The single trait with one is NOT limited to the +3 dice cap.
Next you have two "talent points". Go into the class you want and pick two tier 1 abilities to add to your character (Write it in the notes; full ability description please). Additionally you can use these talent points to buy new skills (As a bonus trait each) at the cost of one talent point per new skill. Last, you can use these talent points to increase your hp or power. You may use the two talent points in any combination you wish.
Races aren't a huge deal, but I'm trying to stick with a theme here; you can NOT be a human.
Angels, demons, genies, skeletons, undead, elementals, that kind of thing.
Starting items are whatever you would have on you as your character, you don't have any money.
