This is going to be my universal setting for most of my steampunk games! I hope you enjoy.
Main countries and kingdoms:
Gerothern Kingdom:
A large kingdom in the middle-east with decent technology, advanced economy, and a strong supply of resources. Vledlirs are filling the roles of the Watch. The skies of Gerothern are unsupervised in most places, and may be dangerous. To avoid this, rich entrepenuers use special airships which can float much higher than the average ones, giving them more safety.
The Gerothern kingdom has a strong ground army, though not quite agile.
The Kingdom of Korksky:
An enormous landmass to the far-east with a scarce, poor population, but their government-controlled economy is quite powerful, and their army is just as big as their lands, mostly consisting of Vledlirs, lacking any humanoid clockwork, or other complex machinery.
The island Queendom of Ibendath:
A large island to the north-west which is still small compared to most other kingdoms, the population is quite rich, and there are several large fortresses floating artificially near the island, some big enough to be considered major cities even. Ibendath is ruled by a queen instead of a king, a difference compared to most kingdoms.
Ibendath is also known for their iconic army of "Marchers". Marchers are clockwork robots with a well-made system, densely covering the streets, and as long as they see eachother, they will step at the exact same time, thus the name "Marchers". One spending their time out in the streets of Ibendath may hear the light thumping of the Marchers all day, never stopping. Ibendath is also known for powerful sea- and aerial fleets.
People from Ibendath generally dislike Vledlirs and don't usually want to be associated with them.
Morian republic:
A minor country at the northern border of the Gerothern kingdom, they have good farmlands and are extremely abundant in coal, even if they lack any metal. For this reason the Morian republic uses nearly only a coal-rich steel-like metal, similiar to the expensive "Black Steel", just much MUCH weaker. It's strength is around copper. The Morians tend to rely on infantry, because of that.
Relations between the countries:
Currently, a small slow-paced war is between the Gerothern kingdom and the Morian republic, though it isn't really something that one could call a real "war", and more like one side trying to annoy the other one, while the other is trying to economically crush the first one.
