Fifty years ago, the Dawn of Heroes began. Nobody really knows why, nor how but superpowers, something only seen in comic books or movies, manifested within humans.
Some would live as they were, trying to ignore their powers. Others would take advantage of their newfound gifts and commit crime. After all, no normal person would be able to stop them. Not long after, individuals would rise up to counter these 'super-villains.' Heroes. Costumes, capes, masks. That kinda deal. While some had different methods to go about it, these heroes all had one common goal. To stop crime. Before long, certain heroes would join together to create groups dedicated to justice. Villains, of course, would move to counter them by creating their own teams.
It would not be long before heroes would be hailed as celebrities in their own way. Humanity entered a golden age. The older heroes, the originals, would hang up their capes. They would retire and put their powers to better use. New heroes would rise, alongside new teams. Rosters would be replaced, cities would have new heroes to protect them. All except one. Sentinel City.
You are an aspiring hero in Sentinel City, the 'never-changing city.' One of the most crime-ridden cities in the world, Sentinel City is an endless pit of death and crime. Too many heroes have ended up dead due to underestimating this city. But not you. You were raised here. You know this city better than most people in this cursed city. You've dealt with street goons, maybe even big-listers like Crime Bosses or even the independent super-villains that roam the alleys of your home. It was only a matter of time until your work caught the attention of certain people. Which is probably why, without your knowledge, you were caught off guard and found yourself with a bag over your head. God knows where you are, but wherever you are you know that there are others around you. You're not alone.
Rules
1. Playstyle is serious.
2. Don't be afraid to ask questions, the GM is happy to help.
3. Keep in mind that your character is an aspiring hero, as in they just began or at the very least are rather inexperienced.
4. Non-powered individuals are welcome, after all, non-powered heroes are not unheard of.
5. If your character is powered, do not powerplay. Speak to the GM to see if your powers are approved.
6. Custom Traits are allowed, ask the GM if your trait is too overpowered or not.
7. GM has the final word. Do not fight the GM.
8. Try and keep OOC at a minimum, as it reduces immersion and distracts people.
