1. House Mettenheim

- King Frederick IV Mettenheim
Reign: 504 FU - Current
Alias: The Frail, The Scholar
Titles: King of the United Kingdom of Wessenden, High Duke of Lowefeld, Lord of Deltenvhern
Age: 45
Gender: Male
Description: Aged far more than he should at his age, King Frederick holds the appearance of a man near-ten years over his own. Always of a thin build, even in childhood his figure never improved - only getting worse as the years passed. Due to his condition, he was never truly interested in the art of war or combat, instead engrossing himself within the art of diplomacy and books. While not particularly well-versed in the art of court - being far too blunt for his own good, Frederick became known for his vast knowledge pertaining to his realm and diligence. Hard-working and committed, much of the current realm's prosperity is due to his actions.
His long, straight hair, once a proud gold, is now silver - several bald spots spotted around his head slowly coalescing together. His face is long and thin, his straight nose pointed-downwards. His hazel eyes seem to exhibit tiredness, always seemingly half-closed. Wrinkles adorn his face, though he tries to hide it with a small, trimmed beard that stretches to the edge of his lips. His cheekbones are high and his skin is deathly pale. When holding court or outside of the keep, he is known to wear a simple golden band as a crown.
He is hardly seen outside of his keep, often found within his own room or in the keep library. He makes it a personal mission of his to always hold his own court personally, regardless of his own health. He trusts his brother, Prince Lyonel, above all else. Their bond is known to be unbreakable, even entrusting to him his heir to serve as a ward, page, squire and eventually knight. He has no particular hatred towards his youngest brother, Prince Rayne, but dislikes how he carries himself and his company.

- Crown Prince Olsen Mettenheim
Titles: Crown Prince of the United Kingdom of Wessenden, Heir to the High Duchy of Lowefeld and Deltenvhern.
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Description: When the Crown Prince had been born, it has been reported that he was a strong, healthy lad. A reputed miracle, as it was near-guaranteed that he would inherit his father's condition like his elder sisters before him. Not only that, but the boy had inherited the best trait of his father -- his intelligence. He excelled in all studies that came to him and before long was hailed to be a fine heir to the throne. A fine military commander, an honorable, diligent leader and gifted with charm - a bright future would have no doubt been guaranteed for the realm under his rule.
Alas, it was not meant to be. During the Great Melee of Bryta in 520 FU, the Prince was struck with a mortal blow to the head. The Prince fell into a deep coma for an entire, silent year. The realm waited patiently, hoping their glorious Crown Prince would awake. When he awoke, he was a different man. He spoke of voices that screamed within his mind, shadows and evils that dwelt in corners of rooms and spoke of visions that filled him with terror. He did not eat, nor did he clean himself. Less than a month after awakening and being reintroduced to the realm, he locked himself into the royal quarters of Lowehalten. A month passed. Then another. Then two. Then three. After seven whole months the Crown Prince left his quarters. He was sickly and pale, with scars with some kind of a semblance drawn all over his skin. He spoke a few, frail words to the guards and servants. "I am free of heart and mind. I must plan." Since then little news of the Crown Prince has been heard. Though rumours of a invasion, pushed by the Crown Prince himself, have surfaced. Rumour or not, the realm prepares for war on foreign lands.
Though skinny, there are still remnants of the Crown Prince's former appearance. Of average height, Olsen was once reputed to be rather handsome and strong. Due to his current 'condition,' he is now neither. His golden hair, once cut short, now rests onto his back, long, dirty and curled. His cheekbones are rather pronounced and high, though his cheeks are now sunken in. His hazel eyes are framed by deep eye bags, sloping downwards. His thin-lipped smile, once dashing and charming, now looks more sinister than kind. His nose sits straight, with the remnants of his broken nose suffered from the Great Melee slightly curving it right-wards. Self-inflicted scars cover his body, resembling an unknown language. No scars rest on his face, but a long scar resides horizontally across his throat - a seemingly impossible-to-survive cut. He wears simple clothing, though still fancy by commoner standards. He only changes out of his clothing every week or so, resulting in them becoming increasingly dirty.

- Prince Lyonel Mettenheim
Alias: The Lionknight
Titles: Grand Marshal of Wessenden, Prince of Wessenden, Paramount Knight of Lowefeld, Duke of Loweseinn, Lord of Steinsite
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Description: Tall and strong, Prince Lyonel carries an imposing presence with him wherever he goes. A stark contrast to his older brother, Lyonel took to the art of combat and warfare with prodigious skill. A skilled fighter, Lyonel was knighted and coined the nickname 'the Lionknight' at the age of 17 during the Tournament of Mittenheir, where he had successfully dominated both the melee and the joust, winning against men 20 and 30 years over his own. He is hailed as as a remarkable commander, famed for his unwavering bravery and exploits in combat. He is calculating - even distant at times. In battle he is known to be unstoppable and ruthless, though never without good reason. Lyonel is completely dedicated to his elder brother and by extension, Crown Prince Olsen. Though ruthless, he is not to be mistaken as cruel. An honorable man when required, he has shown remarkable mercy to those he deems worthy of it, ensuring the legacy of his own brother. With no children of his own, he considers the Crown Prince in the same regard as he would his own son. Afterall, the boy had been entrusted to him to serve as a ward. His relationship with his youngest brother Prince Rayne is known to be strained, with the two often falling into arguments over the smallest things.
Tall and broad-shouldered, Prince Lyonel is hardly ever seen without his custom set of elaborate gold and silver magi-bled armour. His jaw is strong and forward, shaping his lips into a permanent frown. His cheekbones are low and unpronounced, with his aquiline nose and low, intimidating hazel-eyes adding to his imposing demeanour. He shaves his head, with the only remnants of his golden hair being a full-beard that frames his jaw.
In combat Prince Lyonel is known to wield the infamous Mettenheim ancestral weapon, an ornate magi-bled greatsword titled 'Lionfang.'

- Prince Rayne Mettenheim
Alias: Silvertongue, stylised as a last name.
Titles: Prince of Wessenden, Lord of Gabelwiese
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Description: Retaining his youthful looks, Prince Rayne is considered handsome by Wessenden standards. A long, refined nose coupled with a shaven-square jaw and high cheekbones all build towards a striking visage. His wavy dark-brown hair, coloured differently from his brothers due to his different mother, falls to his jaw. His hazel eyes are expressive, with small lines growing on the outer edge of them - often creasing when he smiles. Rayne is a renowned charmer and womaniser, with several ballads written to his bawdy exploits. Gifted with a quick mind and even quicker wit, he is a friend to many in court. Rayne is kind and generous to a fault, preferring the company of the common-folk to the tiring court. Due to not sharing the same mother and a large age gap, the Prince is not as close as he should be with his kin.
While not a particularly talented fighter, he can still hold his ground during combat. When leading, he is known to place far too much care when it comes to the safety of his soldiers - a fault that many experienced commanders resent him for. He favours the use of a magi-bled bastard-sword named 'Brightheart,' custom-made for his own use.
The Prince is often found in the court of High Duchess Camille Veneur. It is rumoured that the two are incredibly close, far closer than many potential suitors would like.

2. House Veneur

- High Duchess Camille Veneur
Reign: 516 FU - Current
Alias: The Elegant
Titles: High Duchess of Somentre, Duchess of Marriere, Lady of Colinteu
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Description: A woman of guile and cleverness, Camille is resourceful like no other. She is said to command an army of spies that spread across the realm, with a pair of eyes in every single court. She wears the finest clothing of the finest garments, making sure to attract the attention of the entire court whenever she enters the building. She is well-spoken and calm, with many of her vassals regarding her as a fine ruler. Her skill in diplomacy is well-crafted, with most men finding it hard to even consider disagreeing with her. Oftentimes she can be found by herself, a distant look in her eyes as she lays deep in thought.
Camille is a woman of striking beauty. She is of a slender, shapeful figure and stands slightly taller than average. Her eyes are a prominent green, and her long, black hair lays straight upon the middle of her back. Her face is oval-shaped, ending with soft, yet sharp chin. Her lips sit permanently pursed, with pronounced cheekbones and a symmetrical, straight nose.
She is said to be remarkably close with Prince Rayne 'Silvertongue,' something that many of her potential suitors have issues with.

3. House Forkam

- High Jarl Bjorn Forkam
Reign: 499 FU - Current
Alias: Bloodaxe, stylised as a last name.
Titles: High Jarl of Jordskyla, Jarl of Skoldrar, Thane of Bryta, Thane of Kingsfall, Grand Marshall of Jordskyla
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Description: Bjorn is a hard man, characteristically so of a Jordskylan. He is loud and straightforward, having said that he has no interest in 'Southerner edge-pissing.' He is a wild man -- hot-blooded, quick to anger, brave and stubborn. Though many would believe him to be an idiot due to these traits, they would be rather surprised by his keen intelligence and perceptive nature. He is loved and hailed throughout Jordskyla, with many idolising him for his exploits and legends that have been built around his personage. He is quick to find a friend, and even quicker to find wine, beer or ale to share with them. Many are attracted to his outwardness, as they find he cares little for intrigue or anything of the like. While not a commander of particular note when it comes to preparing battle plans, he has bouts of ingenious ideas during combat --
to which many Northerners explain that "boiling blood feeds the mind." He is said to be unrivalled in pure fighting spirit and skill, with not even the great Lionknight being able to fight on his level. This skill, coupled with his use of double-axes (one of which being the Forkam ancestral magi-bled axe 'Stormborn'), makes him an untouchable force of nature within the battlefield.
A head taller than most men, he is large and built like a bull. His eyes are a light blue and his gaze is said to be intense. His nose is straight and hard, with his strong, square jaw covered with a thick, brown beard. The sides of his head is shaved, with the top of his head left to grow out into a braid that reaches down to the end of his shoulder-blades. Three scars lay across his face, stretching from the eyebrow of his right eye to the left edge of his thin lips -- the remnants of his first encounter with a snow-bear when he was but a teenager. A small black tattoo lays in his skin atop his left cheekbone. A runic letter, written in ancient Jordskylan. It simply says 'storm.'
