Known FactionsAs divine beings are dynamic as the wind, so too are the mortals who are beholden to their whims. These will be constantly updated as time passes and more are discovered/created/destroyed etc. Holy Coalition of Sheng (China): A coalition of four kingdoms united under the countless-thousand-long-rule of the God Emperor of Sheng. Each kingdom is ruled by their own divine royalty, each one a child of the God Emperor. This Pantheon is known as the Divine Triumvirate of Sheng. Qiao Khanate (Mongols): A nomadic people that were once a series of warring clans. Only in the past century have they been united, and since then they have been a undying scourge to the occupants that border both the South and North of their ever-expanding grazing lands. Led by Temujin Khan. Arx Extremus (Romans): An enormous city-spanning Citadel that places immense value upon scholarship and the pursuit of knowledge and sorcery. Is centered around a large well of ‘mana’ and are supposed keepers of various divine and arcane artifacts. Led by a tribunal of three dozen magistrates. Socio-economic status is based on personal merit rather than any type of heritage. Is largely open with their religion, though most citizens are known to at least practice the worship of Extremus interpretation of the deity known as Arbitror. Divine Empire of Schonmessen (Germans): An autocratic empire who believes they are divinely chosen by their interpretation of Arbitror. Their religion dictates that they are to unite humanity under a single banner and maintain the ordered will of Arbitror. Is feudalistic. The royal family is reputed to have descended from Arbitror himself, though whether or not that holds any truth in this day and age is yet to be seen. Warbands of the North Harden’s Peerless: Korein’s Skulltakers: Palein’s Horde: Fortress Lands: Nothing is known of these impossibly intricate and gargantuan structures. It is rumoured that small oaf-ish beings live within these lands, and that every now and then they have been said to trade with the Divine Empire of Sheng. Please log in to add a comment. |
Merlam:
Created by Helia, the Goddess of Water
Seperated into two sub-species, the Predator and the Prey. Both species are extremely hardy and are able to swim against strong currents and see in the dark effectively.
The Predators are larger, faster and sleeker. They are coloured a dark shade of blue, allowing them to camoflauge in deep waters. They are solitary hunters. Carnivores.
The Prey are smaller and keep in large swarms. They are coloured a light shade of blue and have reflective scales. They are also able to shoot condensed bullets of water from their mouths. Mainly feed on moss and plantlife.
Meek:
Created by Helia, taken in by Ahab, the God of the Weak
They look similar to the Merlam due to sharing similar roots but differ in colour. They are rather thick and bony, with their fins resembling rudimentary limbs. They are able to crawl onto land for a few minutes before having to return back to land.
Given a directive: They are to never bow to those stronger than them.
Terrans:
Created by Dain, the God of the Earth
They look like rock people. They cannot speak and act like children. They have been imbued with an extreme curiosity. Originally four creatures, but have since been reduced to a single individual due to unknown reasons after having disappeared for weeks. This survivor is extremely damaged. Their head is crushed, is missing both legs and a single pebble (eye) left.
Urayaiko:
Created by Confiaraya, the God of Bonds and Excalibur, the God of the Sun
Tentacled monstrosities mutated by the blood of both Confiaraya and Excalibur. They are ravenous creatures and immensely large. They are always hungry, often cannibalizing each other when there is no more prey to eat. They swim in swarms composed of families. When individuals mate, these familial swarms combine. They are the apex predators of the sea and occupy the entire North-West hemisphere.
The Prey subspecies of the Merlam are able to counter the Urayaiko by surrounding them and releasing a flurry of water bullets. It’s messy, but it works.
