You start by naming your character. In game, you will probably by called "Walker", preceded by a position (first, second, third, etc.).
Your character starts with no special trait, no description and no written backstory. At first, your character sheet will be nearly empty. You will develop your character's personality and backstory by describing how he acts in the game as well as by describing your thoughts as your character walks through the game and landscapes of a seemingly deserted area. You will also be able to develop all of that through your conversations with the other characters.
