Combat focused Rping is lame. So are linear dungeon-crawls and games where you're working as part of a guild and you do nothing but follow orders.
I like RPGs where the focus is on player choice and navigating through a carefully thought out, complex and dense world. I also like GMs that are flexible and accommodate for, and encourage player creativity and decisions, even if they aren't planned for (and normally it's pretty easy to do so if some planning ahead is done). For me, Rping is less about acting out a character, and more about exploring the world through the tools your character is given in-game. The character's personality comes with his stats, and should be easy to play out if the stats correspond to it.
